On 10 September, hundreds of runners formed part of one of the most sought after races on the trail running calendar. Nestled in the heart of Cape Town, the 12th annual Crazy Store Table Mountain Challenge kicked off at the Jan Van Riebeeck Sports field, overlooked by the breathtaking Signal Hill.
Table Mountain together with the Mother City’s fauna and flora and of course the Atlantic Ocean, formed the perfect backdrop while runners took on this challenging route. Runners set out to conquer the following routes: for the brave, there was the Solo, which entailed a 44km route. Then we also had a Duo Team Challenge (athlete 1: 23km, athlete 2: 21km) and a Team of 3 Challenge (athlete 1: 12km, athlete 2: 11km, athlete 3: 21km). To ensure that the whole family was part of the action, we also had a dash for the little ones.
Table Mountain Runners were dressed to the T in branded Crazy Store First Ascent t-shirts and caps and had one final CRAZY obstacle to cross before reaching the finishing line... a jumping castle. Staying true to our name, we always have a bit of crazy lined up wherever we go!
