We need a self-motivated individual to fill the following vacancy that exists as an Area Manager in the Southern Suburbs - Western Cape. This position offers great growth potential.

The successful candidate will need to travel in the Southern Suburbs Area on a regular basis and will report to the Regional Manager.

Overall Job Purpose:

You will fulfill a supporting role to the Regional Manager. You will be responsible for the retail stores.

Desirable Requirements:

• Five years retail management experience of which three years must include senior level experience, essential
• Have good planning & organizational skills
• Target driven with good communication & people skills
• Team player & positive attitude
• Leadership qualities
• Ability to develop, lead & manage a team
• Ability to effectively analyze operational data & make good business decisions
• Computer literate
• Knowledgeable in I.R
• A valid Driver’s license          

Key Functions:

• Direct day-to-day operations across all stores in the area, ensuring uniform brand standards and rapid promotional rollouts.
• Handle daily responsibilities that come with managing all stores in the area.
• Ensure that all policies are upheld by all stores in the area.
• Making sure that effective and efficient customer service is carried out.
• Oversee the layout of the stores in the area.
• Liable for administration relating to all stores in the area.
• Manage budgets tightly, controlling costs for store labour hours and general expenses.
• Implement targeted action plans to minimize both internal and external stock loss/shrinkage.
• Lead regular stocktakes, cycle counts and structural audits to secure maximum stock accuracy and eliminate stock discrepancies.
• Dealing with customer queries efficiently.
• Implementing strategies to increase sales.
• Maintaining world class store standards.
• Managing staff performance.
