Regional Operations Manager - East Rand, Mpumalanga, Limpopo and Botswana
We are looking for a passionate, energetic, and results-driven retail professional to join our team as a Regional Operations Manager. The ideal candidate will have extensive multi-site retail management experience and a proven ability to drive sales, improve operational performance, and develop high-performing teams.
The successful candidate will be:
- Reporting to the Operations Director.
- The Regional Operations Manager will lead the Retail Operations function across the East Rand, Mpumalanga, Limpopo and Botswana region.
- The successful candidate will oversee a team of 5 Area Managers and approximately 70 Store Managers, ensuring operational excellence, driving sales performance
- Maintaining the Crazy Store's high standards across all stores within the region.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric) is essential.
- A relevant Diploma or Degree will be advantageous.
- Minimum of 5 years' multi-site retail management experience within a high-volume retail environment at Senior Area Manager level or above.
- Valid South African Code B driver's licence.
- Willingness to travel extensively, including overnight travel and cross-border travel into Botswana.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the day-to-day operations of approximately 70 stores across 5 areas.
- Drive regional sales performance to achieve and exceed business targets.
- Analyse sales reports, P&L statements and key performance indicators to improve business performance.
- Ensure consistent execution of company standards, promotions and visual merchandising.
- Maintain high levels of stock availability and effective inventory management.
- Implement strategies to reduce shrinkage and improve stock accuracy.
- Conduct store visits, operational audits and stocktakes.
- Monitor competitor activity and identify opportunities to improve regional performance.
- Manage regional operating costs, including labour and store expenses.
- Recruit, coach, mentor and develop Area Managers and Store Managers.
- Drive a culture of accountability, customer service and operational excellence.
